Expiring Stories

Stories when entered have a default expiry time of 24 hours after being added. This value is adjustable however to whatever default expiry value is needed.

Utility Status

The story expiry agent runs once an hour, removing both Stories and Alerts that are expired.

Configurable Preferences

A couple of preferences exist for expiring stories.

Story > Auto Expiry Hours

The number of default hours before the story expires. This will be the time they stop playing out in the Ticker Player though they will remain as content. Use a value of 0 to default stories to not expire when adding them.

Story > Story Removal

The number of hours past the Stories Expiry time that story records are removed from the database. This value ensures all time zones can show a story record before it is removed.
