Reset Election Data

You can reset the current election results data (example: your simulated test data) while maintaining candidate information including headshots, riding information, and previous election results in the system. Any election parser agents running will populate the data as it gets available updates.

What Gets Reset

  1. Candidate votes

  2. Candidate elected flags

  3. Riding polls reporting

  4. Riding elected party

  5. Party seat counts

  6. Overall election result (Example: "Party-A Majority" or "Party-B Minority" etc.)

  7. All Interesting events are removed.

  8. Timeline result data is removed.

What Stays the Same

Anything not in the above list.

So the following all stays the same:

  1. Candidate

    1. Headshots

    2. Insight

    3. Incumbent flag

    4. Interesting options

    5. etc.

  2. Riding

    1. Polls in riding

    2. Regions

    3. Incumbent Party

    4. Notes

    5. etc.

  3. Party

    1. Color

    2. Names

    3. Abbreviations

    4. Zero Vote order

    5. etc.

Election data in other election dates other then the active/current election are unchanged.

Tip: Consider creating a Scenario Backup of your Elector data before resetting the data in the system using this option. You can restore that backup and return to all of your election vote data if needed.

Do the Reset

  1. From the Home page, select System Tools > System Configuration

     

  2. Select the Reset Election Data tab and click reset election votes now.

     

  3. Click OK to confirm.
