Enable Google Login

You need to:

  1. Turn on the Google Login feature

  2. Assign a Google Client ID (if not already assigned)

To enable Google Login in your instance of Chameleon, go to Configuration > Preferences > search Google > select "Google > Login" > change the value to TRUE > Update Now.Image Removed

You may also need to create a Client ID for your IP address or domain if one is not already assigned. To do this follow these instructions: https://developers.google.com/identity/sign-in/web/devconsole-project

Add a User with a Google Login

  1. In User control, Add User

  2. Add user info.

  3. Use a GMAIL email address

  4. And be sure to select Google as your Login Method

  5. Add New User Now

Editing Existing Users

  • You can modify an existing user to access via Google Login by changing their current email address to a Gmail email address.

  • When a user first logs into Chameleon or Community using Google Logins, they will be asked to Authorize the account.

  • If a user tries to login with Google but their Gmail account wasn't assigned with their Chameleon user account, access will be denied.
