An administrator can set a number of Flow configuration preferences that affect the interface and user experience.
- From the Home page, select System Maintenance > Preferences/System Reset.
- In the Configuration Keys section, select a configuration key from the list.
- Assign that configuration key a different value than the default value as defined in the following table.
- Click update config key.

| Candidate Short Info Limit | Sets the character limit for candidate on-air insight text. Default: 255 characters |
| National Preview Refresh | Sets how often the National Preview module graphs are refreshed (in minutes). Default: 3 minutes |
| Riding National Refresh | Sets how often the National Preview Riding module graph is refreshed (in minutes). Default: 2 minutes |
| Riding Preview Refresh | Sets how often the Riding Preview module is refreshed (in minutes). Default: 5 minutes |
| Interest Events Refresh | Sets how often the Interesting Events module in Flow is refreshed (in minutes). Default: 2 minutes |
| Enable Riding Data Source Control | Specifies whether Flow users can toggle between automatic and manual riding data updates for Riding Votes and Party Standings. When true: Users can enable flow to accept manual data updates. When false: Flow and all ridings are set to automated data updates only. Default: false |

| Next Up Playlist Item Refresh | Sets how often the Next Up Playlist Item list is refreshed (in seconds). Default: 30 seconds |

| Home Interesting Events Refresh | Sets how often the Interesting Events list is refreshed (in seconds) on the Flow Home page. Default: 60 seconds |
| Site Name | The human-readable name of the site. Typically set to the Election & Election Date. This information is visible in the top-left corner of every Flow page. Default: BL Flow |
| Backup Command Path Name | Specifies the Scenario backups file path where the backup files are saved locally on the server. Default: C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin |
| Max Audit Text Field Length | Sets the maximum character length of long audit messages in previews only. Report exports show full text with no truncation. Default: 150 characters |
