When software patches and/or updates are needed, you will be contacted by your Bannister Lake Account representative, and links for the applicable software update(s) will be emailed to you.
Download the application package and apply to the appropriate system(s) as described in the following table:
Component | Patch/Update Details |

Flow | Apply patches and/or updates directly to the database and/or web servers and any existing backups. Flow updates often contain database changes. Patches and upgrades preserve all of your data. Uninstalling previous software is not necessary prior to an update. |
DMan | - Apply DMan patches and/or updates directly to the database and/or web servers. If you have a backup system in place (replication) apply DMan update ONLY to primary server; do not apply to backup servers. These patches are upgrade compatible, and preserve all of your data. Uninstalling previous software is not necessary prior to an update.
- The DMan service will automatically start after install and updates will be visible in Flow's Utility Status

Gears | - Shut down and uninstall the current Gears agent using the Microsoft® Windows® Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs application before attempting a patch or update.
- Apply patches and/or updates directly to ALL Creative Stations where Gears is used for the Brando solution.

Switcher Application | - Shut down and uninstall the current Switcher Application application using the Microsoft® Windows® Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs application before attempting a patch or update.
- Apply patches and/or updates to the system that the Switcher Operator uses to run the Brando Switcher.
- Restart the Switcher application after installing patches or updates.

Brando Player | Shut down and uninstall the current Brando Player application using the Microsoft® Windows® Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs application before attempting a patch or update. - Apply patches and/or updates to the XPression broadcast system.
- Restart the Brando Player immediately after installing patches or updates.
