Adjusting Ward Names To Common Names

If you are using a data feed to populate your data, the Ward definitions for positions like school board trustees may come through simply as Ward 1, Ward 2 etc. If you want to provide these with the more commonly understood ward names, they can be renamed and the more common name can be used for broadcast. After an initial data grab to populate the office positions and regions, the data parser will not overwrite your manual changes.

Updating Ward Names

Navigate to the Ward Management module. This listing will let you edit all the wards and add detail as will fit in your broadcast interface. We recommend adding in the named region after the ward number, either in brackets or straight up as is your preference. This will then appear across all web and broadcast interfaces. In the examples below we could have even prepended the ward number with “ward.” Once the database has been populated, the parser will not overwrite your manual changes.

Now the ward name appears everywhere after the ward number.
