Prerequisites

The application requires the following be installed:

  1. Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 or greater which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Website to suit your version of windows.
    1. this should be the full version and not the Client Profile version
  2. XPression (version appropriate to the build of the application)

First Time Install Steps

Authentication

The first time you install the application on a system you will need to authenticate the application with the Yahoo Finance API data system. This setup is saved and retained for future uses but can be updated as needed.

  1. You will be prompted to enter
    1. Consumer Key
    2. Secret
  2. You'll should copy these values into the fields as provided to you by the security team.
    1. copy all characters exactly as they are given and don't exclude any
    2. a key may include letters, numbers and hyphens as well
  3. Press the Apply button when the values are correctly entered
  4. You will next need to provide User Authentication via a Yahoo website
  5. You will prompted to sign-in using your Yahoo! ID and password to grant access to the "Studios Finance Video dat" application
  6. After logging in it will confirm that you have successfully authorized the application

XPression File Selection

You will also need to identify the XPression project file to be used by the application.

You can select the file by using the menus:

  1. File
  2. Open XPression Project

Select the file by browsing for it. Your selection will be remembered when you press the Save button and then used in the future automatically.

Note that the XPression project files should all be stored on the local machine and ideally on a secondary hard drive such as the d: drive instead of the c: drive.
