The Elections Rehearsal Generate Steps module is used for generating the steps in a simulation run. To generate the steps, you must first create a Rehearsal Scenario in the Rehearsal Setup module. To access this module, select the Generate Steps tab in the navigation bar on the top.

Rehearsal steps for each contest are used during a simulation run to set the polls and vote values for the contest. To run a simulation, please refer to the Run Rehearsal document.
Generate Steps for a Scenario
Select the scenario from the Rehearsal Scenario drop-down list. If the scenario is new or does not have any steps generated yet, this is what the UI would appear as:
Press the Generate button 
to generate the steps using the rehearsal contests as defined in Setup Scenario. After generating has completed, you should see the grid filled in with the 1st steps for all the contests in the Elections event.
Showing different Rehearsal Steps
When first accessing the steps for a Rehearsal Scenario, the grid contents will always show Step 1 of all the rehearsal contests. To show other steps, type in the desired step number in the Select Step control or click on either the up or down arrow buttons of the control.
Alternatively, you can press the Next Step button to advance the step number by 1 .
Configuring a Rehearsal Contest’s Step
You can also change the votes or polls value for any rehearsal step by clicking on the Edit icon on the left side of the grid’s row. This will pop up an Edit dialog for the step:
Modify any of the votes or the polls value as needed and then press the Update Now button to save the changes.
Managing Rehearsal Steps
You can replace all the existing rehearsal steps by pressing the Generate button . You will be asked to confirm whether to allow the replacement or not.
If deleting of all existing rehearsal steps for the selected scenario is desired, press the Delete All Steps button .
