Branding Tags

For branding, Chameleon uses a naming convention for indicating fields which are either implicitly or explicitly modified at render time. There is no limit to the number of tags in a scene and mixing of implicit and explicit tags in a single scene is fine. All tags use the prefix ^ and are case insensitive except for formatting parameters (for dates, times and countdowns). Explicit tags are those which are specified when creating an asset in Flow while implicit tags get assigned based on a channel’s programming schedule, date/time, channel information or countdowns. We have moved away from the old Brando dynamic logo support to use the media data type instead but it’s still supported for legacy use.
