Running Election Night Simulations with Scenario Backup and

Restore

Prepare the production and news team with likely scenarios with the scenario backup module which allows you to take named snapshots of your data and restore them.

Taking Your First Snapshot

Before you take your first snapshot, get your data into the state you want to freeze it in. Simulate a tight mayoral race, or a runaway candidate in a popular riding.

Now proceed to the snapshot module from the Flow dashboard.

At the top of the module is the create scenario dialog. Name your snapshot and run the backup.

After the snapshot has been preserved you can reset your election data to zero, or continue modifying your data and take another snapshot.

When you are ready to restore a snapshot, choose the data set you want, and restore it.
