Use the Alert URL Generator to assemble the direct query URL for alert content.

  1. Specify URL parameters, as defined in the following table.

  2. Click Generate to produce the query string in the specified format based on the parameters you set.

  3. Click Test to generate data in the specified format in a new browser tab based on the parameters you set. Use the Test function to ensure that the topic returns appropriate results and to view the format of the output.

  4. Copy and paste the Query String generated in your platforms as needed.

Format

Select the data format. Select from:

XML, JSON, RSS, CSV, IconText

Group

Select an alert group from the list.

Type

Select an alert type from the list. (optional)

Limit

Specify the maximum number of alerts returned in results.



Text Field

(IconText type)

Specify the name of a dynamic field found in each alert to use as alternate text content instead of the alert text.

If the field isn't found the main alert text is used.

Intro Field

(IconText type)

Specify the name of a dynamic field found in the alert group that is inserted at the very beginning of the output before any of the alerts.

Outro Field

(IconText type)

Specify the name of a dynamic field found in the alert group that is added at the very end of the output after all the alerts.

1 Line

(IconText type)

When checked the text output will appear all on one line.

When not checked - intro and outro texts and alerts will each be on a separate line in the output.
